Crazy overnight storm

This morning on my way to work, I had to take a detour because a tree fell smack onto a busy road. Then, another road was closed. The roads were littered with tree branches. I’m thinking to myself, what the heck happened? Apparently all through last night while I was asleep, heavy rain and wind was hard at work. The storm resulted in school delays, power outages, and even evacuations. Currently, we are still on a flood warning and watch. The morning commute is crazy.
But, the best part about all of this? I didn’t hear one thing all night long and slept like a log.
Being deaf rocks at times, doesn’t it?! We had that weather all day yesterday and I must have passed it along to you! Not on purpose though, I promise you.
I know!!! we can totally snooze through everything while our roommates have to suffer =) ha.. no that’s one thing that hector envies about me, I can just sleep through any crazy storm. But somehow that still freaks me out sometimes because i don’t like the fact that i can’t hear anythign when i’m sleeping cuz what if?! *i have a LOT of those what ifs! in my head*
and before hector, I’d never lock my bedroom door just cuz you never know what crazy thing will happen.
