Passport me Outta Here!

Feb 05, 2008 | Tags: ,

After a quarter century of my life, I finally got my hands on my very own passport. It was a pain in the ass to get my picture taken, fill out paperwork, get a copy of my birth certificate, write a check, and haul myself to the post office to turn in all the information.

My beautiful passport has been sitting idly for quite a while now, waiting to be used. I heard the passport calling my name a while ago, “Sarah….Sarah…did you forget me? You know you want to go somewhere. You’ve never been overseas, been in America too long! Saraaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!”

OKAY! Enough, passport! I know I need to get the hell out of here on a fabulous un-American vacation! However, all that work I did to get a passport now feels like nothing in comparison to deciding where the heck I should travel to first. Two weeks off a year is all I get, and that includes sick time. I’d like a different culture, but not a huge culture shock. I’d like to be able to relax as well while enjoying the beauty Earth has to offer.

I’ve been thinking about the following places. (Please note that if you use these pictures you must give credit and not do any derivative work.)

Aruba: bikinis, beach, cold drinks, sun.

Italy: wine, pasta, wine, pasta and more wine!

Brazil: city life & beach in one.

Or maybe Greece, France, London, New Zealand?! See my dilemma? Little time, so many places. Oh, and here’s a little secret – I’m afraid of flying overseas. This is top secret! Shh.
